I wrote a book about Pokémon history.

That sub-headline is only sort of true. As I'm writing this post, I haven't finished the book yet, but it does have a very detailed outline and I'm working on the writing. It doesn't have a confirmed title, cover, or release date. I do have an agent, and we just started the process of pitching the book to publishers. By the time you read this, though, all of that should be set. I haven't officially, publicly announced the book yet, so if you somehow come across this post early, enjoy being in on the secret.

I wanted to check in now to create this blog and explain what it is. You can think of it as book DLC. I'll post some complementary content, like book updates, recommendations for things you should read and watch, maybe some original thoughts of my own, and bits of trivia and information that didn't make it into the book. Maybe I'll even preview a chapter or some book excerpts here.

That's all I have to say for now. I'll syndicate this blog with a Substack publication after the book is announced, so you'll be able to subscribe there for updates. (I made this blog on a DIY HTML platform so I have stronger control over it, and because I prefer this lightweight site over more bloated platforms. But, that means you can't directly subscribe here.) The blog also has an RSS feed, so you can follow that in your prefered RSS reader.
